ripper and delete parts

Hey guys, i'm a newbie. I just got a Pioneer 106 dvd burner and some ritek dvd's. I've backed up Onimusha for my PS2 with gamejack and now I thought I would try my Terminator 3. A friend told me to use moviejack and it would copy it fine. But it turns out it was too big. I've been reading some of the threads here and the stickies. It seems dvd x copy is good but it's too expensive. What do you all think the BEST ripper is out there? And is there a way I can rip only part of the movie or a way after I rip the movie I can delete some of the parts. I'm an anime fan and I'd like to alter my dbz episodes. I can't stand it when Goku is fighting and then all of a sudden it shows Chi Chi or Bulma. I would like to edit out these parts, is there a way to do it?
