DVD BacUP Problem!

Hi guys still new at this so hope ya can help

i have made a back up of X-men2 which works ok on my home DVD and on my other half's home system as well.

but when i want to watch it on my Computer i have problem

when i use CyberLink PowerDVD ver 5 it starts up ok then error comes up saying DVD-Video playback graph could not be built due to insufficient decoders.

Now if i try it in Windows Media Player 9 i get a prolem with some Square thing on the screen that moves all over the dam pleace(but u don't see it on home systems at all)

yet the DVD flim works on on home DVD noproblem at all.

any help would be great

could it be because of the RCE Protection? i know X2 has it

i could not tell ya bud


just got a flim of my mate Matrix and it does the same on that

but yet when it's in a home DVD player (underworld) works ok and thats on any home DVD even Matrix works ok on any home DVD but on mine it has that think moving about ..


Bummer any one else can help please

I would be helpful if you told us what and how you backed up the disc and what proggie u used.
If you have used dvd-decypter or smart ripper to de-crypt the disc then the rce protection is not a problem because these programs remove this along with the region coding.
Then i presume dvd2one or dvdshrink was used to compress the film so it will fit on your disc...no problem there ..
Then whatever program was used to burn the disc..was it nero...recordmax now...

Just a after thought because i came across this...put the disc into you dvd drive in your computer and without playing it open up the disc and see if it has a VIDEO_TS file and if the file is in higher case letters because some players will not recognize the file if it is in lower case.
