4x Riteks with a 1x burner

I normally get my Riteks from Rima.com and get nailed with a huge shipping cost at the border (I live in Canada). A new store near us only sells the 4x Riteks and its actually cheaper than ordering from the U.S. I didn't want to order a bunch if they won't work in my 1x Pioneer 1A04. Can I still burn at a lower speed with higher speed DVD-Rs? Thanks!

Yes, burning at a slower speed is fine.

I've used Riteks religiously and have NEVER had a problem....knock on wood. I'm in Canada and between ordering them from the US and shipping it works out to about $2.75 CAD a DVD-R. If I go to Futureshop or another computer store, the generic kind run about $2.50 to $3.00. I'd definitely recommend the Riteks. Good Luck!
