Problem Playing AVI with V9

Hi, I have a new V9 Pal with Messiah 2 1.31 .
After playing Avi for 30 Minutes the Media Player stop and say I have reach the end of the movie.
If I start again and fast forward to 31 minutes and play from that point then I can see the rest of the Avi fine until the end.

Do I have a Laser problem?

I didnt even know you could watch avi on a ps2, wait maybe I am thinking of a vcd. When you load a game, does it go to the browser or boot right up?

you can watch Divx with something called Media Player 1.5 .

Games boot right up when I insert them.

This is a brand new machine I have no idea why I have these problems.

It can be an error in avi file or a bad burn.
burn another cd at low speed on good media and if problem still exist then your avi has error.

May just be a glitch with the MediaPlayer 1.5. Have you tried emailing the people who develope that?

Tyler!

It could be a problem with how the AVI is coded, there’s a zillion combinations of codec’s, AV bitrates and resolutions. I’ve had quite good luck creating DIVX video’s with Virtualdub and DIVX 4.12 for video and the Radium MP3 Codec for audio. I’ve watched a 3 hour movie from start to finish on Media Player 1.5 with no problems. I made a music video CD with 40+ video’s and I did run into a couple that would not play for some reason. No different than winamp, every now and then I run into a MP3 that will not play.
