"CRIMSON SKIES" MEDIA CHECK, How remove it ?
I have many Games on my Xbox HDD. But the last installed, "Crimson Skies", couldn't be started because of CD check !!! The CD MUST stay in the Drive or the Game won't start.
ANYONE knows how to "patch" or cr**k the .exe ??? and with which Progz ? PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!! Thanx, ZigZagInDaHouse

there is a tutorial on my site for manually patching the media check with a hex editor. Or, you can get a program called isocraxtion that will patch it for you.

I think DVD2Xbox autopatches the games. I just bought that game (what a coincidence) so Ill try it in just a few minutes.

Yup dvd2xbox kicked ass, it patched all six xbe's. Not to mention it backed up this 4gig game in 15min.

i agree with tyler dvd2xbox is rapidley climbing the ranks to become the best software for copying xbox games to the hd from the xbox dvd drive and like the man said it auto patches the .xbe files to. i wouldn't use any other app for this process.

NOT WORKING !!!!!
Hello People, ITS ME AGAIN !
I've copied the game with DVD2XBOX to the HDD. BUT sorry, after the copy Process finished, i tried to launch the Game through the default.xbe, NOTHING HAPPENED ! And the game directory was copied on the root directory on F: AND not in the FDDLOADER Directory as usual for other games. SO i moved it into it. but nothing changed, i cannot run the game until disk is in the drive. please help !!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you have a damaged original disc.
I did forget to mention that if you have your folders in a different folder other than either just G or F then you must edit your DVD2xbox XML file so it sends your games to the correct folder. Tyler!

DVD2XBOX UNSUCCESSFUL !!!!
AND AGAIN!!!!!!!!
COPYING A GAME WITH DVD2XBOX UNSUCCESSFUL !!! The prog checks the Drive for Media Check 1, patches the files, and Media Check 2 Not Found ! AFTER COPYING PROCESS FINISHED, I moved The "Crimson Skies" Folderfrom root F:\ to F:\HDDLOADER\ where the other games are. BUT: I can't START THE GAME !!!!! freez, need to restart the Box. MAYBE MY DVD2XBOX Version TOO OLD !!! is there any newer version??? PLEASE HEEEEEELP !!!!!

Dude I must request you ease up on your all caps. Its a bit annoying.
Back to the problem at hand. Maybe like I said earlier your disc was scratched. Or maybe you can try a newer version of DVD2xbox. I dont know the exact version of the newest one but why dont you go to Xbins and find out for yourself. Tyler!
