Coasters with LG Burner - HELP !!
For some reason, I am getting an unreadable disk with every other DVD I burn using my new LG 4040B burner. I've tried both CloneDVD and Burnatonce, and both give similar results. It always tells me that my burn is successful, but the disk is not recognized by either my Pioneer DVD-ROM or Toshiba DVD player. I am using Memorex 4x DVD+R media. I have a brand new P4 machine with 1gig of RAM and all the high end stuff. Any ideas why I could be having a problem like this?

Possibly, What speed r u burnin' at. 2x is recommended for safer and more successful back ups. Also have you tried a different media brand, with the same results or are u using the same every time?
Ritek, Verbatim, and recently been hearing a little about Phillips, these have had some good reviews.

i think u should try changing the media and changing software. Use Easy Cd Creator 6 and Record now max 4.5

I also have the LG 4040B. I'm using a combination of DVD Decrypter (to strip out the copy protection) & Pinnacle Instant Copy (to burn). Works like a charm & I've not had a single coaster.
Instant Copy doesn't work on copy protected discs so you need the decrypter.
