Help on Training an XBE file

alright, I want to install the Halo trainer and as far as i know, all i have to do is patch the trainer file to the xbe file, I know how to do that, but what if the xbe then refuses to work, then I'll have an xbox with a bad xbe file and no way to put the original back in. Am I just a worry-wart or is there a big risk involved in this?

any help is appreciated, thx

You patch the game xbe, has nothing to do with the xbox itself. Just create a backup of it before you patch.

I used the program IPSwin to patch the trainer to the XBE file. I put it back into my xbox and it did...........nothing. Is the trainer file corrupt, program corrupt, or do i just not know how to activate it, i know i probably come off as a noob, but i have an Xecuter 2.2 pro chip and know all that, the trainer is just something completely new, thx for any more help.
