Hi

I bought Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (PC) the other day, and when I try to play the game it can be quite sluggish.

ive even downloaded the official patch for the game, but still no luck.

Has anybody got the same problem, or any suggestions plz.

My specs are :

AMD 2400 Athlon XP
512 DDR
DVDRW
CDRW
Geforce FX 5200

I'm in the same boat mate.

It's the graphics card I think, I've got one and I'm not impressed at all. Must be why it was cheap eh?

Stick to 640x480 and it shouldn't slow down too much. Any higher and the slo-mo kicks in.

I was hoping the new patch would alleviate the problem but apparently not.

Not sure what this has to do with GameCopyWorld though, maybe you'd be better posting this at the official Konami forums.

Yes, it's a shame they don't optimize console ports more. We seem to constantly have to put up with sluggish performance on systems that are far more powerful that their console couterparts.

We shouldn't complane too much though, like you say, it blows FIFA out of the water. Sluggish as it's performance is.

Any information would be great but I think it'll just be "turn everything down to minimum and make sure you don't have any applications runnign in the background...oh and turn off your anti-virus software". Same old crap.

I searched the Pro Evolution Soccer 3 forum through konami, and a lot of people where talking about selecting 60 hz refresh rate so I did that, and I did see a improvement in the speed.

I hope this helps m8

Change the refresh rate on your monitor?

Mine's already set to 60 hz unfortunately.

Thanks anyway.

Actually the patch improves things for me, I can run it at 800x600 with medium detail without it slowing down. That'll do for me.

Ok guys, I have a "solution", it's just part coz only Konami guys would know whats wrong in particular I guess, but just deactivate yer sound card and game would run flawlessly.

To do so go to MyPC/Manage/Devices/ search for yer card and hit right button/deactivate.

I know it aint the same without sound but its worthy,at least til they fix it.
