r.i.p. : v3 onto v9

finally, after 13 months of rigorous use, my version 3 ps2 w/ magic 3.1 died. the inside of the laser assembly actually went up in smoke....maybe it worked too hard or maybe my tinkering had an effect.
anyhow, no hard feelings against it, it went and done well. my question is regarding the us 500001 model. is this the quiet fan, commited dvd+-r support, and nic included....and most importantly, would messiah work with it?
