DVD+R or DVD-R

Ok, im gonna be buying a dvd burner soon to burn some ps2 games, which type of format burner do i need, DVD+R or DVD-r. Or does it not matter, i dont know which format of dvd r the ps2 will play or if it will play both and doesnt matter. Thanks in advance
