Ok really annoying freezing problem...

Hiya, I posted here a while ago to find out why my ps2 keeps freezing dduring loading screens... Meanwhile I took it back to the place I got the Magic3 mod and they said "well maybe it's your dvd laser getting old" which is BS since its probably had less than 30hr played on it total and its never been used for DVDs. Anyway they said they adjusted the DVD and CD laser strength a bit which worried me. I asked them if this would diminish the life of the drive but they said it was just a fractional change, nothing to worry about.

So yeh, I assumed it had worked but the games kept freezing... the funny thing is it is never during a game, on in loading screens or location changes (eg. moving from one are to another in a game). This freezing occurs in originals as well as back ups and generally occurs about 30min to an hour after beginning a game.

I really doubt that it is a laser problem and the machine doesn't feel hot at all after freezing so I cant imagine it's overheating.

Any inputs appreciated, I'm taking the machine back to them tomorrow to get them to check it out again. I'm off to Japan in a months time so I want it working fine for my whole stay there.

theres a time delay here that points to heat dos it get worse as the time go's on. the console case would not be a good indicator as the temp of the internal components

magic3 struggled with the mod overheating

hmm reposition mod,update code to 3.1(this turns mod off no overheating
or install a switch to turn mod off when game loaded

So if it's the best and only mod out for the v9 how comes dms is holding back so thay can get it right and not kill peoples ps2 m2A KILLER

Ok thats enough MrFixit. I suggest you restrain yourself a little bit. Im getting tired of seeing your Messiah 2 kills ps2 posts. Ive allowed enough of them but now Ive had enough.

Give the Messiah team time and Im sure theyll fix things.

lol its not the m2
if fixit was so sure whats his problem in buying a suspect ps2 same place as he buys previous that died,i pay for it
offer been made many times

woried u be proved wrong ie sony problem ps2 dies with no chip
or lol even worst your installs to blame
yes maybe we find the m2 at fault,sorry but i doubt this i know of far to many working,very very very few bad died mobo,but the offer is there
tests done independently (entity) at my expense if the ps2 dies

I have had enough of this....I will take my rant up with Charlie...and not his whipping boy...so stay out of my face and I will stay out of yours ...............
