Question Two Different Versions.......

I was just wondering if it is possible to install two different versions of BF 1942 on the same PC. I have updated to 1.5 successfully but there are some mods/trainers that I have that aren't compatible with the new version. Just wondering if this was possible and the steps needed to correct this. Thanks in advance.

Well. If you are running on two Systems on one PC like 98 and XP it should be no problem. But on one System I think it would not work. 'Cause the installation would see that their is a version on the system and would try to update it.

And usind Trainers is a bad idea in such a good Multiplayer game.

The Mods will be updated. I would wait for an update of the mod before updating the main prog.

You probably could do it under one OS, but that would be alot of work.

Get the game running at the old version you want, save all version/folder relevant registry entries.

Install, get the game running in another folder at 1.5, save all version/folder relevant registry entries.

Import the reg for what version you want.

Gamespy, all seeing eye, and any other external game launchers will only point to one directory or another.

Thanks for the replys. And the only reason I wanted to use the trainer is to make some cool stunt videos with my friend.
