Q: "Do you know of a crack for Hitman 2 that doesn't deactivate sound? "
A: "Didn't realise there was a crack that deactivated the sound!

But if you are having sound issues with hitman 2 there are a couple of things you can do

I had real hassle with this game on 1st installation ( with or without the no cd) but there are a few things you can do - Firstly upgrade with the official patch to v1.01, you should do this anyway cause it enables access to the console. Remember to restore the original distributed executable before you patch. You did make a copy before appling the nocd right? There is a nocd for 1.01 on GCW.

Soundblaster Live! cards are also a pain in the arse on this game, coz the drivers are crap, upgrade them if you can. For some variations of this card (i.e. mine!) this isn't as easy as it should be.

Thirdly disable EAX - you can do this by command line argument or the hitman2.ini file if it is greyed out in the ingame menu. On my machine I found that enabling EAX gives me great environmental & 3d sound but I dont get ANY gunshot sounds at all - weird but true.

If that doesn't work then - I dunno, but thanks coz you've reminded me to go back & replay it - great game, lets have more!

oh... and you have turned your speakers on right? - this is always a good start.

Q: Dose anyone know where I can find a crack for my language?
A: First TEST the crack in the language that's displayed, most of them are multilanguage (that's mean it's often related to a language file and reading the settings from ether the .ini file or registry that's mean that the file inself isn't in that language)

Q: I've found a 1.xx crack and I use a diffrent version, does the crack work?
A: Download and try it - although I wouldn't recommend it as the update may update the main exe.

Q: Can't extract the files. Unkown Error's are dispayed
A: Use the latest version of Winrar and everything gonna work just fine. www.rarlabs.com. If you still can't extract, REDOWNLOAD.

Q: The game crashes and I've have no idea why this happens.
A: FIRST, if you do experience this problem, we need to know if you tried the original CD/CDs and if that works. If it works with your original CD/CDs (and original exe) it's a crack problem. Second of all we need to know SPECIFIC data, like OS, Graphic Card, what updates you have done, and Direct X, And if have descovered same problem with other simular game. Other wise WE CAN'T HELP YA!

Q: Where can I found a crack for a patch that's has been released in the past few days
A: You might use the original CD for the few day THEN you can ask and wonder. Recheck the GCW regulary, someday it might turn up.

Q: Why does it take so long fo GCW to update?
A: People that's updating the site works for free. And there using there spare time to update the GCW. GCW using severals of mirrors and servers and all the crack must duplicated at all the sites. WHY do you think it take a long time. I've heard it's a hell of boring to update GCW. And I'm not blaiming them!

I just didnt want to look like I was trying to rub your nose in it by nit picking each one. I make English mistakes too.

Thanks NorthViking but I think a problem with this and the other stickeys like boarder rules. There is that people don't pay attention to these topic. My big question is why...

maybe new reged people have one thing in there head, to get the information where to find there crack there are looking for and forgett and not pay attention to other topic thread!
