Nero, Blindwrite & Office XP

Hi,

Trying to back up Office XP Pro Special Edition.

Tried Nero, just using copy CD Wizard. Get loads of write errors ( I always have this problem with Nero. Everyone says it's brilliant but it seems to struggle with many protections. Am I doing something wrong?)

Tried Blindwrite. It copies it but copy fails to install.

Had my free trial of Clone CD. Can't get any new download to work so can't use that.

Please, how can I get a decent backup?

Thanks for your help,

Ape

The read errors are due to scratches or marks on the cd. Carefully clean the cd and try again - there is no copy protection on the cd so it is easy to copy.

"There has been possible read error during the operation which may result in a defective write. Do you wish to continue the write anyway"

So I carried on but still got loads of unrecoverable errors. This is after cleaning the CD.

So I used my burner to create an image worked, which has worked fine. Something to do with my old Toshiba CD drive. Maybe my newer Plextor CDR can read better?

Anyway, thanks for your help,

Ape

read the images, and then try to mount them with daemon tools. if you can install from these images, then you have read it properly.
