im haveing problems with my new dvd-rom 16x when i go to rip a moive useing it on ceretin movies it gives me some BS about failed to read due to protraction im like WTF it reads just fine in my dvd burner it makes me mad cause i bought the reader just for moives its a lg dvd-rom kooldraco u think in dvd shrink theres away around this i have not tryed xpresscopy yet i will try the same moive in that prog and see if it reads if so it must be in the dvd shrink

Have you tried using another extraction program? I mean instead of just using DVDShrink to do all the work for you. Try DVDDecrypter or AnyDVD.

Run anydvd then use shrink worked fine on the first protected dvd I came across "Gladiator" in ntsc format.
