starforce protection....need help....
copying virgin here again....lol...just got a fun little game called Fire chief....surprisingly entertaining
) ...and thought i could just use alcholol to copy it....but its protected by "starforce protection system" and the copied disc won`t get past the checking key bit before it will run the game it says "key error"....the install I tried to use the copied disc with was done with the original disc, will do a new install with copied version and see if it makes any difference....but i wondered if anyone could explain any way past the protection??? cheers

afaik there is no way (yet) to backup a starforce 3.x cd.

just been doing a bit of a search for a nocd crack for fire chief, seems there was one but the link is screwed does anyone know if there`s a working nocd crack anywhere? (...amazing the protection on this budget game innit? how come the big boys don`t use the same protection).....any pointers greatfully accepted

its because starforce isnt exactly stable and it costs a lot in the manufacturing process
