ps2 dvd backup problems?

I,am try to backup my ps2 dvd games but when i try to build image and burn to harddrive with prassi primo dvd v2,it say (device error reading disk).I have mat****a dvd rom sr-8584a
and pioneer 106 dvd writer

if any one out there could help me i would be very greatful because i'm going grazy
