Download & install the latest Blindwrite.

U can make a static emulation of Securom 4.8x using BlindWrite+BWAbuilder (included with BW). "Static" in the sense that no background prog (ie. loaded in memory) will be needed when running from the backup.

Read the BWA instructions first.

This will heavily depend on your burner, and esp. its reading abilities in the case of Securom 4.8x, where a good subchannel reader is needed. (If using a recent Liteon CD-RW, set read speed to MAX - yep, seems contradictory but that's the way it is...)

Of cos' enable subchannel reading in BW.

U must also check each reader's compatibility with BWAbuilder by running it at 8x. If the unit is compatible, then the graph will show a smooth parabolic CURVE with a few irregularities (thicker curve at some points, 4 at most) because of the CD protection.

BWAbuilder will create a seperate .BWA file to which U should give the same name as the BW image, and place it in the same folder. The BWA file is very small (around 30 Kb) and I advise U 2 store it aside should the need of a "backup from the backup" arise.

Good luck & welcome 2 the forum
