try this, take a wire from the ground point on ur messiah 2, and run it twisted tightly with the clk wire, and then run it back ot the chip, still twisting it tightly

then you can have the clk wire wherever you want it, i put mine right next to the power wire

you can find a pic of the twisted pair method on a v7/8 install diagram here: http://www.messiah2.com/Messiah2_v7_v8_Install_1.3_.pdf
give the alternative clk point a try or use thicker wire.

Yeah, the twisted pair method works really well, The more twists the better.

I always use the standard clock point, then twist another wire with it attached at the ground point of the messiah 2 at one end and terminated at the gold edge around the main ps2 motherboard at the other end.

Works flawlessly an as kooldraco says, u don't need to worry about routing of wire or having it solidly on the motherboard surface as you've already minimised yr groundloop.

If u go for the thicker wire method use the alternative clockpoint closer to the m2 an route the wire carefully around any major circuitry or components an glue it well to the motherboard.

Regards

lol, im not kooldraco - lmao

but yea, i actually cheated with mine, it is basically 2 ground wires because it comes from the gnd point on the m2, all the way down the wire, and all the way back to the gnd point on the m2

and the way i cheated is i grabbed a small drill, removed the bit and clamped the wires inside the *bit holder*, tightened it up on the wires, pulled tight and pulled the trigger, it makes a perfect twist as tight as you want it every single time

peace

Give it as many twists as u can m8ee. What u r doing is giving the clock wire a basic screen ( like co-ax cable) so the more twists u can give it the better an like IMAO says there is nothing to stop u doubling back with the grounded wire an doing another load of twists!

Good Luck!! Let us know how u get on!
