Jerky Video

OK, it’s my turn for a quirk!!! Whenever I encode an AVI to MPG2 with anything (Even tmpGeng) and burn to a DVD after it has been authored you can JUST notice a slight pause (Less then a second) when watching a movie. It bugs me after a while. Does anyone else get this, I have tried different authored software and different mpeg encoding software and I have even changed codec’s!!! I think it has something to do with layers as I read of the back on one of my DVD’s “switching between layers can cause the movie to pause".

Any Ideas anyone?
