DMS3 version and Magic 4.1

I've been shopping around for different mod chips, so far I like the DMS3. But some sites offer a 2.0 and some just offer the DMS3. The DMS website doesnt show a 2.0 version just the regular one. I've seen chips with blue PCBs and some with green. IS it just a color that makes no difference whatsoever. Is that the difference? How do i tell which version is which? What different features does 2.0 have over 1.0?

Secondly, I found a chip, the Magic 4.1. The specs look great on it. I'm a noob, but I've read around and i understand that the 4.1 is a clone of the 3.1. Are clones bad? The chip itself is pretty cheap (only about $18), is this actually just a scam? Caus it has alot of good features for such a small price. How about installation?

Your comments on this would greatly appreciated.

From what I have heard, don't bother with the DMS3 (V2 or whatever). However there was supposed to be an update of the report on the DMS3 so.... Magic 4.1? Never heard of it. Either stick with Magic 3.1 or what I would recommend is get a Messiah 2 Pro, can't go wrong there. Messiah 2 Pro and Magic 3.1 are the best chips on the market now, but if you're more into price, you could always opt to get Apple Pro chip

this is what the DMS3 said about the color of the chip.

We have jointly decided to temporarily switch pcb colors to ease the great demand for more DMS3 mods into the market. Lately, have been running low on blue PCBs. We decided to manufacture green PCBs to avoid interruptions in the supply chain flow. The leadtime for green PCBs is much shorter and should allow us to work faster to ease the high demand for our product. After populating the green PCBs we should have sufficient blue PCBs in stock again. Please note you can differentiate between the green V1 and V2 mods by looking for the smaller sized flash chip on the pcb. We will inform as soon as we continue with using blue PCBs. If you should find a green DMS3v2.0 in your mail, shop or console that looks like the one below...don't worry, it's not a clone

Magic 4.1 is garbage as well is 3.1. DMS3 is a great chip. Sites selling DMS3 are all selling 2.0. 1.0 is outdated.

i have a messiah2 pro and a dms 3

while the dms3 is more picky on the install, all it has over the messiah 2 is extra features, like loading apps and emulators from the memory card, instead of a disc

but as far as installs, i can help you with that, depending on where you are from
