virtual drives
there are some programs that have virtual drives such clonecd, virtual CD, Daemon Tools. I know how to mount and unmount files into it. The question is, what is the significance of these virtual drives and what are they used for? please any answer would be greatful. thanks.

To test the image you made. Mount it into virtual drive, install from there and play it also from there. If you get no errors, you can give it a try to burn it.

Don't burn images that don't work to simulate with Alchol-softwares virtual drives... It wont work bether!
 You can only backup perfectly if you got the original CD:s if you don't backing up or emulate the original CD:s it's a big chans that it will fale! Then you have to use crack. But becuase thats illigal you don't have rights to use crack. So buy the original CD then backup then if you whant use crack. Other wise, people from high skies are spying on you!

If you dont have a no-cd crack, you can make an image of your *original* CD and mount it. If the image is was done right, the game wont know its not the original. Put CD away for safe keeping.
If you cant make a good copy of the original, you can still mount the imperfect image as long as you have a fixed-exe crack. A roundabout way of doing no-cd. After installing from the original of course.
