noise
often when i turn on my xbox i hear a noise:
rrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrruntil i turn it off then i turn it back on and it's usually gone i have an x-2lite with a switch 40 gig hdd and xbmp as my dash this has been going on for around two months i find that it usually happens when i leave my xbox on and fall asleep (like when i'm watching land before time II) then the next day i turn it off eat breakfast then i turn it on again and i hear the noise as described above i'd appreciate any help

hard to say but since I'm in a guessing mood today I'll say either your harddrive is "waking up" from some kind of sleep function or just plain going bad. It might even be overheating since I don't think MS engineered it to be on for 10 hours straight.
I think I know the fix though - don't leave it running overnight!
