Push the rounded button on the front of the Xbox and the DVD-ROM drive will open. Put in your backup and push the button again and it will close and play.

After EvoX loads, switch over to MS Dash (with the DVD-Rom tray still open) push the eject button again to close the DVD-Rom tray and let the game load. If if gives you a "Dirty Disk Error" eject the game and puch the button again to close it and it should load.

You have to go into the evox.ini file and point MS Dash link to the .XBE you renamed your MS Dash to and reupload evox.ini and reboot your XBox.

I have no idea why its not working. It should be.
Maybe one of one of the other members would know. Sorry I can't be of more help.

its ok i think you have helped me discover that i probably either made the iso incorrectly (xiso) or burned the disk incorrectly (stomp record now max dvd) if i cant load the game like you said then i think that must be the problem if any one can tell me if one or both of these programs are bad or if someone can point out a better one i am all ears well goodnight for now ill be back tommarow or should i say later today! Thanks for all the help rms2001 youve been a great help this whole forum had been a great help in getting me up to this point very quickly Thanks ALL!

just use the data burn xiso is a realy crap programme. also for newer games you will need a newer bios like x2 4977 or patch the default.xbe in the game using iso craxtion prior to burning

x2 4977 is the bios. A dash is something like Evox, it is the screen from where you can select various applications to launch and also provides a program that allows you to FTP from your PC to your XBOX. Yes, you can flash your Matrix chip with the new
x2 4977 bios. This will allow you to play newer games with copy protection on them. The alternative is to patch the game itself, which allows your older bios to still play the game. To patch a game you will need to FTP the game onto a folder on your PCs hard drive and get a program like ISOcraxtion and with it patch the default.xbe file, which should be in the folder with the FTPed game. Then you can use the data burn method and burn the game onto a DVD and it should work with an older bios. |
