the screen goes black then it crashes to windows i am not the only person to have this problem i did a search of the forums and a few have had the same thing happen to them

Well, does it work without any crack ? i.e. with your original discs ?

yes when i put my disk in it works and with my back up to but i need a no cd crack my rom has started to eat cds i cat get a new one right now i just got some school books

Mmm.... last time I tried it (about a year ago), this crack DID work for me. Have you tried making a copy with ALcohol120%/Blindwrite ? Or an image on the hard disk ? When cracks don't work that's what I usually try. Homeworld was protected by oversized files I see here, and Alcohol120%/Blindwrite/CLonecd should not have a problem with that.
