xbox controller

i just bought a brand new xbox the other day. had no games to play though!
had a look through the menu and copied a cd on to its hard drive. bought 2 new games on saturday. played raw once then my girlfriend wanted to play her buffy game. she accidently pulled on the controller cord and the inline release came out (i think thats what it's called, inline release?) now the controller is constantly vibrating and won't respond! has anyone ever had this problem? does anyone know how to fix it or did we break the controller?

sounds like a dud controller to me. I've never heard of anything like that before.

thanks anyway. i'll call customer support tomorrow and ask them whats up with that! thanks again.
