No Battle.net "Diablo 2 & Diablo 2 Expansion v1.08 [ALL]"
I have been using the Diablo 2 & Diablo 2 Expansion v1.08 [ALL] No-CD patch. It says to log on to Battle.net and let the V1.08 update finish. I ####t the update, but before I reach 25% it logs me off. Instead of this I tried updating the game by downlading it from the official website but when I try to log on to Battle.net it gets up to "#####ing Versions' and says that it cannot properly identify my game version.
Could someone help me, any help would be much apreciated. |

I had this error too. When i found & installed a Registry Patch named Battlenet enabler, i was able to join open Battlenet and i was able to create and login to closed battlenet accounts.
But after logging in or creating a new character there always came an error saying "REALM DOWN" or "Cannot connect to Server". Does anyone know how to fix this !?!? |

It worked fine for me. You *do* need a working CD ###, not a ###gen'd one. (I think so, anyway) Here's what I did ..
- Uninstalled Diablo II (save your chars, of course) - Installed Diablo II (Full install) - Installed Diablo II: LoD (Full install; go back to the installer and upgrade the install to full) - Ran Diablo II: LoD 1.08 Patch (from Blizzard's ###) - Used dARWIN's DLoad.exe and Game_crk2.exe (rename to Game_crk.exe) I'm able to play single and multiplayer without any CDs, and BNET works just fine since I used a real CD ###. (No, you can't have mine.) The only real problem with the way I installed it is that your D2 directory will be ~1.87GB .. So this isn't for small HDs. ![]() -- CRC |
