Age of Empires II and Exp pack : Backups
I wanted to make a set of backup copies. Ok, I got the image file copied to the CD-R disc. Used Alcohol (newests version) . Now the CD auto-plays, but once I get ready to play the game, it asks me to insert the proper CD. What do I do here ?

Have you read this?
You may find it helpful - the games are protected by Safedisk (either SD1 or an early version of SD2)

The game installed off of the backup CD-R. So what do I need to do ? I am not sure what all that information means that you linked me to. Can you explain what I need to do, or reply with the steps ? Thanks for replying.

It installing alright is irrelevant because this is not where the copy protection is. The copy protection kicks in when you try to play the game (hence the 'please insert correct cd-rom')
You have not made a perfect 1:1 copy of the game (ie. where the backup is identical to the original so the copy protection is intact). You can follow the guide to making a 1:1 copy (or try downloading Alcohol 120% and using it's General Protected Game Profile). Failing that, goto Gamecopyworld and download a crack for the game you need - you will need to extract the crack from it's archive using WinRAR (just like a zip file), then copy/paste the new exe over to where the original exe is.
