Railroad Tycoon II: Industry Strategy

I recently became more interested in this game after a while of not playing it. The advanced industry mode allows the player to buy companies. Is this worth the cost? My thoughts are that it would subsidize some of the loss for track, train and car maintenance. I would appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Hi, ive played RR2 but dont know much about strategies for it lol. Try google you will find tonnes of fansites that will give you hints on this sort of thing im sure. ricardido
