AOE2 patch does not seem to work with LAN games

After upgrading to v2.02a and patching with the patch from gamefix I can play both singleplayer and internet games with the upgraded version.
However I haven't been able to play a LAN game, the game asks for an original CD everytime I press "start game".
Is it me?? Am I doing something wrong here?? Is there anybody else who has this problem?? Or are the people who haven't this problem? I would like to know.
