X-box Emulator D/L. Is it 4 real??

Hi all.. Im a nOOb here in the Xbox forum as im allways in the PC forum. My question is this, I have found what claims to be a working X-Box emulator the PC. Now if im honest im very sceptical about it and want to know if there is ANY1 here who has a working X-box emulator for the PC ?. I have a PC and my son a X-box but i want to know if its poss to play X-box games on my PC. (All X-box games are original) and because of this i would of thought a normall PC-DVD drive wouldnt be able to read a X-box game DVD or am i off the mark here ?. All i would like to know is has anyone found what claims to be a working X-Box emulator for the PC ?. Thanks in advance....

there isnt one yet....because emulators do tend to take a lot of time to perfect, the machine you usually emulate has to be a lot more powerful than the original machine itself...i mean sega saturn emulation needs about 2 ghz just to run at the right speed

but i do recall reading on a site about someone who is working on, seeing as the xbox basically works as a pc he is trying to get the .xbe files to execute on the pc and basically run them like pc games which fair dues would probably work when you think of it in the long run...more can be read here http://www.caustik.com/xbox/cxbx.htm

I don’t think we will see XBox PC EMUs.
Why you ask? Well as you all know you need a modchip and an XBox to get the game files in the first place b/c the PC DVD-Rom cant read the XBox formatted disk.

Now if one was to have an XBox, modchip why in hell would he wanta play it on his PC any way?
Hes all ready got the system that was designed to play the games…

I believe we'll see xbox emus someday but the nearest one is at least five years away. It'll take forever and a week to get the whole thing perfected and it'll only be to doucment video game history at that point, like the emus of today realisitically do. I mean I barely know anybody with an working nes system but I grabbed the emu and a crap load of games and gave them to my friends on cd-rs. Now I know more people that play old games than their xboxes and ps2s!

i got some faith that guy will be churning out some impressive stuff, his managed to get a few demos running...then agan rms dont forget...the upsides to emulation...could probably get some games to run at a higher resolution etc...im holding for out for a dc emu for the pc at the moment mind

i have a working nes but like the emus better i would think a xbox emu would be a wast because you need a xbox to get the games on your hd and they would take alot of space. or if they are dvd-r i think you could read them off the disc. but again you need a xbox to put them on dvd-r

i can see what your saying, i have near enough every console by nintendo and sega yet i use emus on my xbox cause i keep the old consoles boxed up to conserve some space under the tv, but were as we have people asking for stuff like a ps2 emu on the xbox...it is impossible right now because no ones been able to get it emulated on a pc, for stuff like the ps3, xbox 2 (if it dont have backwards compatiblity) it would make a loveley port almost straight away to get playing your xbox games....still yet again that is donkey years away

They have to make them backwards compatible. People are not going to want a PS2 and a PS2, or an XBox and an XBox 2 under their TVs.

Hmmm ok and thnxs guys. I now know that what is said to be a working Xbox emulator for free to download is bollOX and probarly contains a virus or trojan anyways.

To be honest it was more of a desire of knowladge to know if its poss. I mean i built my PC up and bought my son a XBOX and i just wanted to know if it was poss now or if we were talking future which we are. (the free emulator D/L !!! There will allways be ppl who want such a proggie and there will allways be ppl who know this and code some mallious virus/trojan/addware proggie as a x-box emulator just to screw your PC up as there will be many ppl who download it beliving it to be what it claims to be. After the info i recived here from the links provided in your posts i know to leave it well alone. Thanks

ERM ok whatever floats your boat. Reason my PC specs (ohh by the way they need updateing) are included in my signature is because i use the PC forum and rather than go through all my components to see why a certain crack/game is having trouble running properly i leave my specs in the sig so i dont have to answere the same old questions each time. Also if you pop over to the PC forum you will see many ppl do the same thing with there signature for the same reason. (unless they post there PC specs to try and show OFF!!)..By the way what was the reason for

I don't hang out there but I guess that would make some sense except I see lame-a$$es posting that crap on every forum.

I don't really care if somebody has all the computing power of NASA and MIT put together, but our kind admins allow anything on sigs so float your own boat.
