flashing lights red & green

i need help after son trying to go on xbox live nacked the box up and just got it to load evox this happerns when you try to go to orig xbox dash it says it needs a service and the eject button flashers once red and once green. is there somthing wrong in the evox.ini section or is the msxoxdash corrupt if so can someone send me a copy of the orig i didnot backup original one please help. :blink:

Well, it kinda sounds like he went to xbox live with the evox dashboard set up. If that is your problem, then you can fix it by replacing the C drive on the xbox with a backup. Otherwise, too many things were changed with the live installation, and the old ms dashboard wil not work.

If you don't have a backup, you can always find someone who does.

Check his link,

It may be able to help, what you need is the default.xbe file in the evox that you originally named to xboxdash.xbe you need to connect via ftp go to the C partition of your XBox delete the xboxdash.xbe and put in the default and rename it xboxdash.xbe
However that will just fix the evox dash board you will need a back up of the original drive to get the xbox original dash going again.
