can't open dvd root

using dvdx whilst trying to back up a new dvd for the kids i keep getting a message that reads : DeCSS Invalid Block found, run a dvdv player and try again. so i launch it in Power dvd and it plays fine but still cant open the root or the iof file .any ideas would be greatly appreciated
