Wolfentein and Bios Version questions

hello, Im new to this sicen I just modded my xbox. I had problems running wolfenstein from the hard disk, i tried to patch default.xbe with several patchers and none worked until i used isocraxtion, now it worked but i had the problem that after the first screen (the one that states logo copyrights and stuff) a black screen appeared and the xbox froze there. i changed the in game resets (all three) to NO and now it works perfectly.

My question is, what does the in game reset has to do with it??? i prefer yto have my in game restes activated so any other solution to make the game work will be appreciated.

I read that another solution was to upgrade the bios so here comes my second question. I have the EvoX D.6 BIOS version, Using a matrix modchip. The Kernel version is 1.00.4817.01 Which is the newest Bios version out there??? how old is the one im using???? i didnt have any problems backing up my originals since they are old until i tried wolfenstein so there comes my interest in knowing how old my version is.

I've just given up with the evo2.6 bios as i've been constantly patching the games....Hoping that they'l work......what a pain in the arse.

Flashed my matrix with the Xecuter2_4976.02_MultiVer_256k bios this morning and everythings working a treat. Good stuff!

I suggest you do the same mate, lot less hassle in the long run

Hi guys ....Well Im very interesting to know ,How u did it Jay_83 ,I mean how u flashed u Matrix modchip .... I got same problem u had (New Microsoft protection ,u know) ,I had my evo2.6 bios in the Matrix but ,Im already changed it ,for Xecuter2_4976.02_MultiVer_256k bios like u ,but my problem is I can't make this work ...The Flashed was a right.
My modchip is switched 1 ON 2 OFF ,with this configuration ....when a turn on my console ,the modhcip light turn red inmediatly...otherway 1 ON 2 ON ,no problem for a few seconds ,I mean the console change the eject light to red.
But the modchip still r on green ,This is a good signal ?
How u did it ?
How u switched ?
U just Flashed the bios ,put on the X-box and that's it ....easy like that ? ?

In the HD ,i have EvoX 1.8. something .....dashboard.
Can u help me ? ..thanks
Note : before this change my X-box worked great all the time.
I have not complaint about it.

Well ,or Im so idiot or I don't know what can say ....
I have been trying to reline ,like u said for about couple hours without any result.

Now when I turn on my X-box with switch 1 ON 2 ON ,th modchip light is red ,and 1 ON 2 OFF ,like before with the EvoX bios,turn green like everything it's ok.

My modchip ,start green all the time now with ,the old EvoX configuration.But with a new bios (X2).
But I still see the Green X-box Logo (original logo) ,and of course ,
show me the famous ERROR 13 ,u X-box need service ,I know about the reline ,the contact pins stuff like that.

But I don't understand ...why ? My modchip show a green light (like everything is ok) ,all the time ,but the X2 bios is not working.
Corrupt bios ,may be ?.Oh let me tell u guys ,I flashed the X2 multi version bios with the LPC tool (the tool for Flash the Matrix mod chip),It really matter ??

Maybe its a bad flash. Use the programmer to rewrite the BIOS to it.

Im really lost ,now really lost.....I have my modchip working in Mode 2 : 1 OFF 2 ON.This mode enables the Matrix to take over the original bios all the time.
LED: Green Always on .
Well ,exactly that is what my X-box show up.
The modchip is perfectly aligned.I can see a perfect and beatiful green light,all the time ......on Mode 2 ,the flashed was right I verified that ,and worked right.

Everything was perfect ,until I saw over there ,Xecuter2_4976.02_MultiVer_256k can work with Matrix ,rights ...Why Not with me .......?

I still can see the ****ing original X-box logo on my X-box .With a modchip supposedly installed successful.

Help me out ,people Im really ,really lost .......

Hi mate, just cause you have a steady green light doesn't mean that it's aligned properly.

What you need to do is put both dip switches ON.

This will either give you a green flashing led, or a red one. Make sure that it is flashing green then turn your mod back on

ie
1=off
2=on

I've had my matrix with a steady green light but not touching all the points. I find it easier to align it by looking at the side of the mod, rather than using the 'virgin' pins etc.

Right ,Got it .................I did it ,after 4 hours trying to make this happen ,I did it ,I've installed in my modchip (Matrix) ........ Xecuter2_4976.02_MultiVer_256k but now ,something more is happening .......I turn on my X-box ,and I see the modchip light ,completly green ..... in mode 2 .I see the new green X-box logo modified ....with the phrase XECUTER2 down the logo.

BUT ,this is amazing ....... The games ,Im talking about ALL THE GAMES , Originals and copys ......won't work ,I put the games (copys or originals) in my X-box ,and look like nothing happen ,Appear the modified XECUTER2 logo ,and few seconds later ,The dashboard (EvolutionX v1.8.458).
Like I didn't put anything in the DVD Drive.

Any comments about it ....Thanks

Well you have evox installed on your harddrive....thats a good start.

what i'd do is place the xecutor bios on you're harddrive (I think it has to go into a folder called bios on the c:
then flash it through evo x.....yes through evo x.

You'l have to change the dip switches to the flash enables setting......i can't remember the settings

This is not the normal procedure ...am I right ?
How u did it ? ,u just Flashed your Matrix with a bios tool ,like WinLPC or something ?

And u puted back the modchip on the X-box ? right ?
and all was perfect ...I mean u turn on the X-box ,appear the modified Xecuter2 screen ,and later u r able to play ....without the stupid problem I have now ...my games won't play ,is like my DVD Drive is not working ,I checked the IDE conections ,the power conection ,and look like is right .

I have a X-BOX v1.1 NTSC ,with Matrix ....and this great bios X2 installed

I see the X2 screen already ,and few seconds later ,the EvoX dashboard ,everytime the same.
Like the DVD drive is empty all the time.(No games inside).

Any clue ?....Im frustated.

One more thing , I connected my Computer to the X-box ,with FlasFXP...
and everything is OK.
And also I can see the D: Folder with the game inside ......but won't play .
I never seen something like this in any forum.Someone got the answer ?

I can't play originals games and copys neither.With my Matrix and X2 multi version Bios.But everithing is ok ,apparently.
