GTA VICE Save problems

k i was having a heck of a time getting by the rc chopper level...so i figured i would grab a trainer to stop the clock. Anyhoo i did just that, grabbed one of the trainers off of gcw and put it on...it never worked so i exitted out of the game deleted it and than went to go back to just playing normal and now my save game files are gone!! Has anyone else had this prob? i never even deleted the files theyre just gonzo...really weird.
And the save game all access file posted on gcw only goes up to a certain point and im way past it in the game....ahhhhh
