Unhappy backing up dvd movies

I am having problems backing up my DVD's. I use DVD decypter followed by dvd2one and finally Nero to burn it. No problems here. When I wiew the DVD it has many stutter points throughout the movie. (split second) My question Is this the best that it gets? Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for any help.

Make sure Nero is up to date and that you aren't multitasking while creating and burning the dvd. What media are you using? You might have to go with another brand.

I am having the same sorts of problems with my newer system and am running nero 5.5.10.7 and was wondering if this program needs updating to prevent the 'sticking' problem?
I have tried ritek , discwrite, datasafe and get the same problem with them all.

I do know that there has been a bad batch of ritek discs in the uk cos i've had some and the had a habit of breaking down and 'bleeding' after a few days the discs where totally unreadable.

Well I have updated Nero and it's the same. The DVD's work fine when backing up my PS2 games. I only get the short pauses when backing up my DVD movies. Any ideas???

I am also having problems with backing up my DVDs

I've used both DVDX Copy and DVDshrink.

The problem is that as I get near the end (of playing) the back up the screen will jump or freeze.

This occurs on both my stand alone DVD players & my computer.

I have a Phillips 6002 writer (came with the computer).

It is DVD+R/RW and I have tried both types.

I'm using Digimedia disc as there is not a great variety of DVD+R/RW discs down here in Australia.

It is costing me a fortune to backup. That is why I'm now using RWs so at least if it stuffs up I can try and re write and not waste the disc.

HELP

its the discs, the manufactures are taking the piss out of us, they are releasing shoddy none funtioning discs, knowing no one is going to send a disc back to them . What i do is copy the video t directory back to my hd on a differnent dvd player and if i can do this it will work on any dvd player. I had a full pack of 25 datawrites that would nt copy back once.

Thanks peyre1

I had a idea that was the problem.

I've since found another source of discs and I'll try some of them
