DVD play prob

I have a messiah chipped ps2, the other night I tried to play a dvd, and got no response at all. I might add the ps2 works fine on all originals and backups no worries.

Im certain it did work after the mod, I dont play dvds much, but wondered if anyone can suggest any leads on this one.

(possibly a wire off from the mod??)

I tried a sampler dvd, with no region and it didnt work either.

I've got ar2 v2 installed.

Any pointers much appreciated

Are you following the boot procedures? Try booting you movie from standby by holding reset until the blue light comes on.

yeah done that, just boots up at memory card screen, no matter what i seem to try.

Does that prompt any further suggestions?

I am a little unclear on this statement. I assume that you are saying that you have Action Replay 2 installed??? How many DVD's have you tried? Have you tried a cleaning disc? It is a messiah not a messiah 2? If so try this:

Messiah mod chip

Original games (PS1 and PS2 CD & DVD)
• Load as normal

PS2 backups (CD & DVD)
• Insert game and close tray
• Press reset

PS1 Backups
• Insert game and close tray
• Press reset twice

DVD Films
• Insert game and close tray
• Press reset twice
