Playing DVD backups in a stand alone
hey, Anyone able to tell me why I can play my DVD+rs in my computer but they wont work in a standalone? i have a Hitachi HDV R100 stand alone. Could the dvd player be the problem?

Well, according to THIS, your player supports DVD-R media not DVD+R. So yes it is a problem with your player.

Yes, as long as your burner supports DVD-R media, then use that. Or purchase a DVD Player that supports the media. If you cant afford a new player, then you just shot yourself in the foot with that DVD Burner you got

You can pick up an Apex dvd player for about $60. They play pretty much everything.
