Old P.O.S. v3
Some of you may remember a v3 that I was tinckering with awhile back. After I put in the new laser and things didn't work I just kind of left it for awhile. Brought it back out tonight and found the main problem was that the laser cable was kinda banged up on the end. Switched the cable and CD games work OK. The problem now is that DVD games only work when the system is completely cold. From room tempreture you have a minute tops before the system warms up enogh that DVD games fail. Then have to wait for it to cool again to boot. If you don't let it cool 100% then it will splash PLAYSTATION2 then nothin. Anybody else run into this problem. Even with the system taken apart it still has this problem. The fan works OK and nothing seems to get any hotter then my v7.
