Apple and Emulators

Has anyone with the Apple chip tried either PGen or SNES station? I get the RSOD whenever i try and boot a disc created using the procedures included with the emulators. I have a V7 Apply chip and have not had any problems with any other backups. Chip works great except for this issue.

I went to their forums and complied with all limitations of the emulators.

I use SNES Station no problem. Make sure you don't have any roms that are in a zip file. Extract the rom in the zip and burn that. You also need to have at least 20 roms on the disc for it to work. Stick in the burned disc and tap reset and that's it.

Not Zipped

bighap -

Thanx for the info. Files were not zipped. I complied with everything they list in their readme and instructions. It may be an issue with my install.

dust2dust -

In my life i have owned / own an Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Atari 1200XL, Colecovision, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, IPaq, several PCs and a Playstation 2 (and am now considering a xBox). I have programmed most of my life, so computers are my job and hobby (as well as consoles). So, if you want to guess what games I have owned in my life, feel free, but I don't remember subscribing to your opinion.

cjaesee, do not take what dust said personally. I do not believe that it was aimed at you personally. We have had some controversial rules added lately and some of us think that they are crap.

Misunderstanding

Sorry dust2dust,

I should have read your response more thoroughly. After re-reading it, I can see that it was not directed at me. I'm new to the forum, so I am unaware of the current tightening of restrictions. However, I am familiar with several other other sites on the web of this nature and it appears that the legal system is finally gaining a foothold on internet freedoms. In some cases it is needed (particularly in light of rampant pornography), but I think that restricting communications of this type is borderline fascist. Legal pressures appear to be pushing discussions of this nature into the world of IRC, which is not as effective for people that truly enjoy the intellectual challenge of the hobby. IRC appears to represent more of the dark side of what we enjoy.

Thanks for your repsonses.
