ps2 modchip

anyone kno anything about ps2's and modchips? wuts the best modchip out and how much do they usually cost? are the newer models on the ps2 better than the older models?

The best mod chip is the Messiah 2

The newer the ps2, better it is (Except version6). Get a version 7 from your local Walmart, you'll be ok.

You have a v7 which is excellent. The Magic chips have their share of problems. I would stay away from them. Messiah 2 is king.

Have youi tried to boot your DVD9 games by holding reset for 4 seconds to turn off the chip. If you have a Magic 3.1 this should work. If it does you might save yourself some money.

and i fear shutting down the chip would help anything cause i have a PAL PS2

I thought you already tried holding reset. I recommended you trying this in you first post regarding this issue here

yeah as tried to say (well my english isn't the best )
i tried everything but nothing worked, i hoped he had a new mothod to try but when i shut down my Chip my PS2 cant boot the DVD because ist NTSC

So you are you not able to boot at all or are you getting a black & white screen and/or a rolling screen?

when i boot normal (by reseting) i get the main menu

when i shut down my chip by holding the reset button i get the red screen
