Burn from .iso to CD-ROM....
What is the best way to copy an .iso-file from my harddrive to cd? I have a Dell 1.4GHz/W2K/and a Samsung -308 CDR/RW/DVD.... I have tried Nero, but the PC "locks", and I'm not even able to quit Nero using the task manager.... What am I doing wrong?
If you know, or have any suggestions, on what to do, PLEASE answer..... BRGDS, St. Remy |

nero should work.
Will nero burn anything else, or does it hang then as well? I'd re-install Nero, remove progs like Adaptec easyCD (as it can conflict) and try again. Also possible that your iso is corrupt. You can check it with many progs that allow you to inspect the contents. WinISO (www.winiso.com) will allow that, and I think it can also convert iso's to other formats (e.g. .bin files for use with cdrwin, and .img files for use with clonecd) |

I personally have experienced a similar problem. If an image file is corrupt from some reason, Nero can lock up in various points during the burnprocess. I once burnt a music CD off a Nero image. I had 4 lockups, which resulted in coasters, until I re-ripped the image, with different settings, and then it worked.
I don't offer a solution to your problem, I just stress the previous point that a corrupt image can cause the problems you're experiencing. |
