Question Rumors and Myths? or Facts and Truths?

I have been hearing quite a few rumors lately that I would hope you guys could clear up. I am very cautious when it comes to my PS2.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
1. Playstation Games ruin the laser on the PS2.

2.A Gameshark/AR/Codebreaker will ruin the PS2

TIA to anyone who can help

The only things that will wear out the laser quicker than usual are things that make it work harder. This could be dust on the lens, bad DVDR or CDR media, or badly scratched discs. I cannot think of any reason why any of the discs that you mentioned which are all pressed and have good refctivity could wear out the laser.

Neither of those will do any harm to your ps2. Like Headly said, dust is bad, so is every Neo chip, as well as games burned to sh*tty media. A good way to help the dust factor is by getting a laser cleaning disc. I just ordered one last night from bestbuy.com. It sounds like a good one. Check it out here

Thats actually a really good buy. I got mine a Wal-Mart for 13.99. It has 6 brushes and 5 sound tools.
