HP DVD Writer 200i

I have a HP DVD Writer 200i. I use RecordNow Max v4.5 for almost everything. I cannot get DVDs to burn at 1X. I have updated the firmware from 1.3 something to 1.51 and this did not help. Any ideas? Thanx.

I just checked out Rima where I got the discs and they say that they support 1X-2.4X. So what now?

Have you tried Nero? Try selecting 1x burn.

MSI Burner

Can't find where to post a new message so here I am!
Trying to identify the reading capabilty of my CDRW that is an MSI 40X12X48 and nothing else on the box. It may be rebadged.
It reads 1% in ten munutes of safe disc 1.14.004 when copying an image (I then gave up) so what chance do I have on a new game? If I install a quality CD reader will this overcome my problem?
I'm just starting out so either redirect me with an email if this is too hard or repost this message.
Thank guys,
Gerhard

I suggest you repost this in CD Copy Protections & Utilities. When on the main page of your desired board, you will see a "New Thread" button in the top right hand corner. Click that to create a new post.
