problems editing image
Hey everyone, I am relatively new to the copying scene. I was trying to copy my rollcage stage 2, which has cd checks. But for some reason, they have this little command prompt pop up when you insert it and it doesnt install. I can modify the autorun file, to read the correct setup file, but since its a multi session, Win ISO doesnt let me edit it. Anyone have an idea how to get around this, without losing the audio? P.S. I have it currently it in an Alcohol 120% image, but I could also get a clone cd one if needed.

Nope, no luck. Ultra ISO only lets me convert to iso, which would eliminate the audio tracks. Is it posible to try and setup a mixed mode compilation in Nero and add them that way? My only concern is with the protection not copying correct. If I could Nero it, how would I go about setting it up so that the audio is in the correct spot? (Like on the CD, it says track 2, starts 38.0 meg,etc or will Nero auto do that?) Thanks!

Don't forgett that you must buy the version. So you get a registration code. If you don't have it, it's only supporting up to 100 MB.

Ok, I redownloaded the program, reinstalled it with a registration and still get the error (see pic). I tried using a *.nrg image to edit. Do I have to rip it as an iso with the audio subchannels to be able to edit it (can that be done)? If so, what program would you recommend? I can't get Nero to not image as nrg.

Hmmmm... exactly what is wrong with the idea of using Nero to make a new mixed cd ? This way you can simply drag all data to the data part and all audio tracks to the audio part of the cd. Then just add whatever you want to the data. This is MUCH, MUCH easier than trying to edit an iso, and much more likely to succeed.

My concern is that the audio might not align correctly. Like on the CD, it says track 2 starts at 32.8 minutes, and track 3 starts at 54 minutes, etc.. When I add them in, it just has them start at 0. Wont that cause the data (track 1) to not recognize it?

You should have a compilation window divided in two parts, a data part with files and an audio part with cd tracks. Just drag the data files to the data section and the audio tracks to the audio section and everything will automatically aligned. You did choose File/New/Mixed cd, right ? Anyway, I've done this about a dozen times, as long as you use a "mixed cd" compilation you will be fine. Also look at the file manager window, it too has a data and audio section. You should see that track 1 is actually a DATA track, so the time spent on track one is the equivalent of the space those data files occupy. If you first drag the audio files (tracks 2-n), the new data track (1st track remember ?) on the mixed cd will be 0 seconds, but as soon as you add data, these times will be changed to the correct ones. It's really quite simple.
