Mpeg to DVD movies...no sound?

I tried a few simple mpegs to DVD using Nero Vision Express. Only prob is ...no sound at all.
Mind you, i did just use video i downloaded before to test(cough,porn). But i tried it a few times, and tried playback on a Poineer DVD player, and my sisters cheap $100 Wal-Mart one.
Now heres the kicker...it plays with sound on 2 different DVD roms in my computers.

Is this common. Or do i need yet another Plugin for converting sound file format as well?

copy the programme with virtual dup (I think) first
this just copies the sound
and add the virtual dup file to your encoding file ( I recommend TMPGNec) when you go to encode
