Maxell 2X DVD-R Media, Are they good for PS2? RITEK SUckz

I bought a 100 spindle Ritek G03 and those are a very bad media for my PS2 ver.3OOO1

I have make copy of Dead To Rights, The Getaway and shin.sangokmusou3, All intro skips and sometimes freeze.

But When I use my friend's Maxell DVD-R (bought from Bestbuy) and they work perfectly.

My question is that the Maxell on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=11163

Are they the same as my friend's Maxell?? those are cheap media on ebay...

Please help.

Actually Ritek doesn't suck. It's your old laser that sucks. How are we supposed to know what type of Maxell media your friend has. You've seen them...

Not your burner's laer, it's your ps2 laser. 30001 lasers were terrible. You are lucky to even get dvd backups to work.

The only way to get a new laser is by sending it Sony. You can get used ones too but either way it isn't really worth it. It is better to just get a new ps2.

I think I am going to get Verbatim as a media to use on My Ps2 instead of buying a new one... it cost more to buy a new mod ps2.

HOw many ps2 you have?

You will need to buy a new ps2 very soon anyways. Your laser wont hold up. Might as well get a new one and pay $1 a disc instead of $3 like you do with Verbartim. I only have 1 ps2. I used to have an old v1 but I sold it so I could get a nice new v7 with a strong laser to get it modded.

Thanz for telling me all that... umm...

Also, Compare three types of DVD-R; Ritek, Verbatim and Mitsui, Do they have the same loading time on your PS2 or they are just the same?

My Ritek on my Ps2 take a long time to load a game before intro...
