Unhappy Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 patch

Hi, does anyone know how to apply the patch for Tokyo Extreme Racer 2? I have tried everything and I can't get it to work! Help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what patch you're using, but I used the one that was actually just a modified 1st_read.bin.
I simply remade the game with the new file and it works fine.
If your patch is a ppf, try downloading the new 1st_read.bin instead. It worked great for me.

Yes, I know it is a 1st_read.bin. But when I replaced it, the game did not work at all. What did you do? Did you just simply overwrite the old one? (sorry, but I'm new at this)

It's ok if you're new. I've been messing with DC games for a while and there's still a WHOLE LOT that I don't know.

When I remade Tokyo Extreme Racer 2, I just replaced the original 1st_read.bin with the fixed one I downloaded. I don't remember if I used CDRWIN or CDrecord, but either way, it shouldn't matter. If you can't get it to work, then email me and we can talk about it more.

Now, I'm putting my own music into that game, but I'm having trouble with distortion in my ADX files that I've converted from waves. I'm still waiting for help with that subject... so you'll always have questions, but hopefully there's someone here who can help you when you run into a problem.

Take care,
-Ex

You should replace 1st_read.bin with the patched one, and then follow Echelon's tutorial. It's the best way in my opinion...

Unfortunately, the Echelon way doesn't work for me. CDRWin does not let me open a multisession, and cdrecord just doesn't work at all. I have already tried the ASPI layer fixer and it didn't help.

Isn't there any other way of doing this? Or can I substitute CDRWin with some other program?

WTF?!!! Iv'e tried everything. The closest I have gotten to getting he Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 Patch to work was when I tried to make it a non-selfboot. It goes to the wierd moose, then to the Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 CD-logo, then it resets itself. Can someone at tell me how to make the game work with the boot disk? Help would be VERY appreciated.
