I know this might piss some BB's off BUT i have read that SOCOM can be played using 56k dialup. First i read that you need to run cat5 cable from the ethernet card of the computer(using a hub) to the PS2. Now i read that using a RJ45 crossover cable from the ethernet card of the computer to the PS2 will work w/o any other hardware. Can anyone confirm this? I found a crossover cable from radio shack. will this work?http://www.radioshack.com/category.a...9%5F004&Page=1

Sounds possible but not entirely sure. I once hooked my dreamcast up through my pc the same way you're talking about....basically so that i could access UK servers on unreal tournament as my original (and backup) were both the us version.....and it worked a charm.
