Is it possible to backup SWAP MAGIC disc?

I am on my SECOND swap magic disc, my first suffered scratch damage.
I have tried using RECORD NOW MAX with the brand new disc that arrived but it kept coming up with an error half way through?

So is there any way that works to backup , i really do not want to buy a third disc.

You can back it up, but it wont do any good because it wont work. Only pressed factory originals will work.

Sure. Buy a no swap mod and you don't have to worry about damaging important boot discs.

Well said

Basically the swap magic 2 discs are manufactured by using a dvdregionx disc, then pressing the code over the top. Thus giving the impression to the ps2 that it is a cd based game. (Your pc should recognise the disc as being a dvdregionx)

Copying these are impossible unless the same is done as above. Saying that though, I'm currently in the process of sending some down to charlie so he can attempt to......plus use for testing with some of the other machines which are struggling to boot xenosaga as the swapmagic 2 boots the original imports as well.

All interesting!

(Sup guys!)

I don't know about swap magic but i had the same problem with codebreaker disc. This is what i did. I put the disc in the drive and opened up a window to veiw the files. Then copied the giles to my desktop. Then opened recordnow max and started a data disc session. dropped all the files that were contained on the disc to recordnow are recorded. All works fine. Hope this helps. Got me around the error message.
